Creamy Almond Oatmeal with berries #86


Ingredients: ❤

1 cup oats
2 cups almond milk
1 to 1/2 cup warm water
6-8 tbsp raw maple syrup
3 tbsp maple sugar
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 apple
85 gr. red fruits of your choice

Preparation: ❤

1. Put the oats in a pan with the almond milk and water. Bring to medium heat and let simmer. Cook then in low heat and add the maple syrup and cinnamon.

2. Cook for around 10 minutes stirring regularly. Add in the coconut oil and let cool a bit.

3. Cut and peel the apples and serve them in a bowl, together with the oatmeal, berries and the maple sugar sprinkled on top.

For a really long time i made smoothies my staple breakfasts, and I sticked to it no matter what! I’ve also had the “bread and orange juice phase”, where I just craved a lovely roll with avocado! Lately, i have been experimenting varying my breakfast choices, and this was such a lovely surprise:) All you need is a good quality vegan yoghurt (in Belgium we have Alpro Soya, Provamel…) and good quality dry fruits.
